AI Thread Summary
For a back projector system behind a screen, using a horizontal/convex lens is suggested to invert the information horizontally for correct display. An alternative approach is to use projectors with a mirroring setting, which can project the information correctly without additional optics. The discussion highlights the importance of ensuring the displayed information is in the correct sequence for user clarity. Suggestions for achieving the desired display include both lens solutions and projector settings. Additional input on this topic is welcomed for further refinement.

Hi there. If there is to be a back projector system behind a screen (such as a car instrument panel), in order for the information to be displayed in the correct sequence I'm thinking some sort of horizontal/convex lens will need to be used in order to invert the information in the horizontal plane so that it is displayed in the correct sequence to the user on the other side of the screen.

Is there anything else (or any comment on the description above) that should be considered in order to produce the correct sequence of information?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

You could just project it already mirrored so that it shows up the right way when you back-project it. I think some projectors have this as a setting you can toggle.

Thanks. Any other suggestions are appreciated.
