AI Thread Summary
The discussion revolves around issues with electronic devices being blocked or muted, particularly in music software like Fruity Loops and Pro Tools. The original poster suspects interference from an unknown device, leading to various problems such as distorted TV colors and blocked internet connections. Responses suggest that the issues may stem from digital rights management (DRM) or connection problems rather than external interference. The conversation concludes with a note that the forum may not be able to assist further with these specific concerns. The thread was subsequently locked due to the complexity of the issues raised.

question -- blocking of electronical devices

Hi. Do you know where can I buy and what is the name for a device that avoids the blocking of electronical devices such as music software (I have fruity loops and pro tools 9 and somebody is muting some of my tracks when trying to record, with a device I don't know what kind it is), GPS, record players, recorders, etc. Thanks for your response.

Welcome to the PF.

Are you having DRM issues?

.

Either you have some kind of licensing problem as mentioned above or you have a bad connection in your signal chain on those tracks you get as "muted".

If something was actively interfering with your recording signal then you would hear noise and not an absence of sound (muted).

Sorry for the delay of my reply, I was blocked for some hacker to can't do that. I just could enter again. Actually I don't have problems of intellectual property or rights reserved, I am musician and have the copyrights of my songs. What else can be the cause? Other problems I have had is the gradual turning off of the fan of the car air conditioner, tv volumes too high, internet connections blocked when trying for instance to apply for a second job or deletion of data from google engine while I was seeing that title erased in front of my eyes from google(a search made),tv colors distorted, barking of dogs I suspect for some kind of ultrasound or infrasound, birds scared around my parents house I suppose for kind of the same device, etc. Thanks for your response.

Ah, in that case, I don't think we will be able to help you with most of those problems. Thread locked.

I have recently moved into a new (rather ancient) house and had a few trips of my Residual Current breaker. I dug out my old Socket tester which tell me the three pins are correct. But then the Red warning light tells me my socket(s) fail the loop test. I never had this before but my last house had an overhead supply with no Earth from the company. The tester said "get this checked" and the man said the (high but not ridiculous) earth resistance was acceptable. I stuck a new copper earth...
Thread 'Electromagnet magnetic field issue'
Hi Guys We are a bunch a mechanical engineers trying to build a simple electromagnet. Our design is based on a very similar magnet. However, our version is about 10 times less magnetic and we are wondering why. Our coil has exactly same length, same number of layers and turns. What is possibly wrong? PIN and bracket are made of iron and are in electrical contact, exactly like the reference design. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks. edit: even same wire diameter and coil was wounded by a...
Thread 'Beauty of old electrical and measuring things, etc.'
Even as a kid, I saw beauty in old devices. That made me want to understand how they worked. I had lots of old things that I keep and now reviving. Old things need to work to see the beauty. Here's what I've done so far. Two views of the gadgets shelves and my small work space: Here's a close up look at the meters, gauges and other measuring things: This is what I think of as surface-mount electrical components and wiring. The components are very old and shows how...
