And when she gives you that look: Ok that was staged but she's for real and good backup around here. Had a little problem with this other Thai lady today, and one phone call from my girlfriend , Neng 39. Problem gone.

...I got pleased with the light (and, actually, lack thereof*) in this one.

Purple Cape Marguerite daisy:

* I've realized that my own favorite flower shots are actually those where the flower(s) are unevenly lit, like here (part in direct sunlight, part in shadow).

Just back from a marvelous trip to Tatra mountains

Debris (around 10m thick) from an avalanche a few years ago ...

Some advice:
- take mountains seriously. That pic above is about winter: but even now, the rescue helicopters made trips up the mountains a few times a day
- any cam will worth nothing if you forget to pack the charger... :headbang:

Very informative. Avalanche debris is something I had not thought about before. I'm used to seeing videos of snow coming down an open area. Hadn't thought much about when it hits the tree line.

Only in Thailand: Haven't heard from my regular girlfriend Neng for 3 days - mmmm? So I meet this Thai lady at the bus stop and invite her for seafood in Jomtien and photos at the getaway.
