The last couple of years I have actually become a bit of a collector of model cars.

Here are some of the American cars I have in my collection:

The coolest and most beautiful model car I have seen is this one:

Horch 853 (1937) 1:18

They are exquisitely made and thus quite expensive, and I haven't found one yet for a price
that suits me . But one day I will probably own one.

What a wonderful day I had today... ...walking around the city in perfect weather and somehow so many things seemed to work just right. I have no idea why, but I got a load of great photo opportunities just coming at me at full speed. It was wild, I think I shot 5-10 times more photos than I would have thought.

Here's one, quickly processed and shot less than an hour ago:

I am a fan of early cars, I think they can be beautiful and that's why I started collecting model cars (cars mostly from the years 1900 - 1970 (ca)).

Another batch of photos using the 55mm micro nikkor. For some reason, my camera's light metering doesn't work properly with this 45 year old lens so getting good exposures with this lens is a bit tricky. But having direct sun helps a lot:

The optical quality of this lens is quite high- here's a 200% crop of a bilobed stigma and pollen of a dandelion:

Probably something like waking up.
If it had hatched (exited out of a pupae) it would have left the pupal exoskeleton behind. Also the wings usually have to get inflated by blood pressure after leaving the pupal case.

It looks like its butt is stuck down and holding it up off its feet in the first two or three photos.
It may have been laying eggs.

The round things between the abdomen and wings are the halteres. They are modified wings that sense wind conditions and regulate flying.

I had a photo session with mr and mrs Swan at the pond today. They got fed by me and stayed close to me for a long time, which I appreciated very much .

Another walk in the woods with my macro lens:

This dude was super chill, let me get right up close with the lens fully extended, maybe 2 inches away from contact. You can see a sliver of the woods and mostly my lens in the eye reflection.

When I accidentally bumped the web of this spider, it gave literal meaning to the phrase "pulling s*** out of your a**":

When it was done, it scuttled off and I got a nice shot of its underbelly:

Then I passed by some spittlebug nymphs, the bug is the light grey blob clinging to the leaf:
