SUMMARY

The discussion centers on the need for a more complex scientific method template for college students, beyond the standard 4-6 step process. Participants express frustration with the simplicity of existing templates found online, emphasizing the requirement for a more detailed approach as mandated by instructors. The conversation highlights the distinction between B, A, and A+ level templates, with A+ specifically calling for a more intricate version. Ultimately, the consensus is that while complexity may be desired, the fundamental strength of the scientific method lies in its simplicity.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of the scientific method and its basic principles.
  • Familiarity with academic expectations for different grade levels (B, A, A+).
  • Ability to research and evaluate scientific templates online.
  • Knowledge of how to apply complex methodologies in academic settings.
NEXT STEPS
  • Research advanced scientific method templates suitable for college-level coursework.
  • Explore the differences between B, A, and A+ level academic requirements.
  • Investigate examples of complex scientific methodologies in academic literature.
  • Learn about the integration of qualitative and quantitative research methods in scientific studies.
USEFUL FOR

1. What is a good scientific method template for college students? I need something that is more complex than your general 4-6 step process.

e. I've looked over the web and have not really found much. They are all very similarly simple.

Why do you seek complexification? The power and utility of the scientific method derive from the fact that the method is compact and simple.

Because my instructor says so. I agree with you, just he separates things into B, A, and A+ levels. The B level has 4 steps, A has a lot, and A+ requires finding one "more complex" on the web.
