You need to be a lot more specific about what you mean by "Power System Engineering".

Do you mean power transmission from generating plants to homes? Or do you mean Switching Power Supply design? Or do you mean Powerplant design? Or circuits to power motors and machinery? Or...

Well , I'm not looking for something in particular to be honest but I have curiosity about renewable energy topics and how can be possible to Integrate it into the power system
I had read some articles about Generation distributed / Energy distributed and I found it really interesting but Sadly my supervisor asked me to look more for another topics

So , I'm not trying to "narrow" the circle of options that you may suggest to me ...I will be really grateful for any suggestions whether if it is was about Generation , Transmission lines , or distribution and I'll see how far I will be able to go with any of them

my thought is this - the dynamics of these wind machines will affect the grid. It needs to be studied and understood , in the spirit of "an ounce of prevention"

check that powerpoint show for a brief introduction to steam turbine rotor dynamics. One can ill afford to connect anything to a grid that excites a big steam turbine shaft's mechanical natural frequency. ( Ours was seven hz. )

I hope this gives a glimpse into that world.

Sorry i focused on wind, just it's the newest thing going . I thought it might be of current interest.
Also a friend of mine is trying to put up a windfarm in the mountains west of Denver and i need to become better versed myself.

I'm extremely thankful for your help and attention...I had checked all the links above and I found the SSR topic pretty interesting ...tomorrow I'm going to see my supervisor and I hope that we will reach an agreement ...

I was a lowly maintenance man in a power plant but had the good fortune to encounter an occasional "specialist" over the years . They are without exception brilliant and practical people with ability to explain at any level. Mine was pretty low.
I particularly remember Westinghouse's Rotor Dynamics specialist, Chester Raczkowski. He opened my eyes to SSR. And to system torsional oscillations below 1 hz.
