AI Thread Summary
Sinusoidal gratings are challenging to research online, with limited resources available. A recommended source for sinusoidal amplitude gratings is the AIG Imaging website, which offers an optical test chart. Users express frustration with the lack of comprehensive information, noting that even Wikipedia's coverage is inadequate. Hecht's text is also mentioned as not being helpful. Overall, there is a clear need for better educational materials on sinusoidal gratings.

Hi,

I'm currently searching online for some good information about sinusoidal gratings.
Does anyone know a good source that I can benefit from?

Thanks for the link. Its really difficult to find this kind of stuff online. Even Wikipedia's gratings page is grossly insufficient.

I also have Hecht beside me which sucks too.

I think it's easist first to watch a short vidio clip I find these videos very relaxing to watch .. I got to thinking is this being done in the most efficient way? The sand has to be suspended in the water to move it to the outlet ... The faster the water , the more turbulance and the sand stays suspended, so it seems to me the rule of thumb is the hose be aimed towards the outlet at all times .. Many times the workers hit the sand directly which will greatly reduce the water...
