Homework Statement

Based of a survey from 500 people come up with this:
130 people prefer spinach
100 people prefer broccoli
50 people prefer carrot
10 people prefer spinach and broccoli
12 people prefer spinach and carrot
5 people prefer broccoli and carrot
15 people prefer all 3 of them

A. How many people prefer broccoli only?
B. How many people prefer none from 3 of it?

2. The attempt at a solution
A. I tried 100 - 10 - 5 - 15 = 70, although I'm not sure
B. Using above formula I found out 500 - 223 = 277

Need help please

Try drawing a venn diagram with three intersecting circles one for each type of vegetable and place the numbers that you know in each area.

Very nice diagram.

But for question B, I'm not sure what "How many people prefer none from 3 of it?" means.

There are 500 people total. How many are in none of the circles? They don't prefer any of them.

it is for the question b

ok. how many people prefer at least one of these vegtables?

Couldnt find it...
130 people prefer spinach
100 people prefer broccoli
50 people prefer carrot
10 people prefer spinach and broccoli
12 people prefer spinach and carrot
5 people prefer broccoli and carrot
15 people prefer all 3 of them

Is the only thing written on the question

Add up the people on your Venn diagram. How many do you get?

Started at 500 people only 322 vote i guess?

The remaining 178 people don't prefer any. You can draw a box around your Venn diagram and put the number 178 in the open space. This is the number of people that don't fit any other category.
