So, if you can do something that does not violate the laws of physics, but it is something that other (highly qualified, highly experienced) people cannot even remotely replicate, it is still not proof of paranormal abilities.

Of course not. Is there a point here? Does anyone make that claim?

Yes, read the other threads here at Scepticism & Debunking

1. What are some of the most amazing abilities of the normal brain?

The normal brain has a wide range of amazing abilities that allow us to think, learn, and adapt. Some of these abilities include memory, problem solving, creativity, language processing, and emotional intelligence.

2. How does the brain process and store memories?

The brain uses a complex network of neurons to process and store memories. When we experience something, the information is first encoded in the hippocampus and then transferred to other parts of the brain for long-term storage. Retrieving memories involves activating the same neural pathways that were formed during the initial encoding process.

3. Can the brain change and adapt over time?

Yes, the brain has a remarkable ability to change and adapt, known as neuroplasticity. This means that the connections between neurons can be strengthened or weakened based on our experiences and behaviors. By engaging in new activities and learning new skills, we can actually rewire our brains and improve its functioning.

4. Are some people naturally better at certain brain functions than others?

Yes, there is a wide range of individual differences in brain functioning. Some people may have a natural inclination towards certain abilities, such as problem solving or creative thinking, while others may need to work harder to develop these skills. However, with practice and effort, anyone can improve and strengthen their brain's abilities.

5. How does the brain control emotions and reactions?

The limbic system, which includes the amygdala and hippocampus, plays a key role in controlling emotions and reactions. This system is responsible for processing and regulating emotional responses, as well as storing emotional memories. Additionally, the prefrontal cortex, which is involved in decision making and impulse control, also plays a role in regulating emotions and reactions.
