I have a question regarding the time delay margin. I know the definition of time delay margin now I want to know that for the stability of the system is it good to have large time delay margin or small time delay margin?

A large margin is good for safe stability, but it may make the system slow to respond. So there is a trade-off. In something like a fighter aircraft flight control, minimal phase and gain margins will be specified. The design engineers will try to get a fast responding plane, but that will probably get them close to the required minimal margins. Usually it is a minimal phase margin that is specified and that can be converted to a time margin at the critical frequencies.
