Hi - My name is Phil Freihofner. I live in Albany, CA. I am an alumni of UC Berkeley with an AB in Music. My main interests (pertaining to this site) involve the physics of acoustics, especially as they apply to music in general and the oboe in particular. I am also a Java programmer and am working on software that supports interesting real-time sound ambience and music control during games and other applications. Some of my work can be seen/heard via http://adonax.com
Am very much looking forward to meeting and learning from everyone and sharing what useful bits of information I have that may be of value to others!

I found this forum cause I was searching on Google if it's common for physics student to feel like they're in the wrong major in the first semester cause it feels like too much for me to learn the materials even the ones that are considered as "basic math" or "basic physics", I've initial fascination with the universe's mysteries and it disconnect with the reality of intense, foundational mathematics courses required...
