AI Thread Summary
Research on virtual user interfaces (VUI) is focused on creating an easy-to-use environment that does not rely on traditional devices like HUDs, headsets, or glasses. Current market players such as Oculus and META are developing augmented reality solutions that typically require hardware. The challenge lies in establishing a virtual interface without these devices, which raises questions about the necessity of 3-D displays for creating immersive experiences. There is a suggestion that integrating VUI with artificial intelligence could enhance functionality and user experience. Ongoing developments in this field are being closely monitored, particularly in light of recent innovations showcased at a Google convention, which emphasized the importance of AI in future VUI applications. Input and ideas from the community are welcomed to further this research.

Hello everyone, I am doing a research on virtual user interface for almost three years, have been successful in gathering as much information as I can for revolutionizing the computer Industry.
And now I want suggestion of what you want or what are your requirements for a Virtual user interface to be easy to use.
How the way you think, VUI will help you?

Can you tell us about the existing VUIs and what their features are? There are a number of them that are being tested and deployed...

Well companies like Oculus rift or mainly & trending META vision, these companies are working on augmented reality.
Actually these companies use many devices such as HUD, head mount, eye glasses etc. For creating a virtual environment. But my idea is little different. I want to create that environment but without using that devices.
So any great suggestions?

How are you going to create a virtual environment without 3-D video of some sort? You can use 3-D displays instead of HUDs, but you still need something like the displays, no?

BTW, have you been following the current Google convention that is going on about this subject?

Well if you search for META, you will see that it uses a device operated environment. But Creating that virtual interface is a challenge.
But I am working on making that possible. I have some ideas, but don't have a base to start upon.
So will answer that question after my work is over.
Thanks.
If you have some idea, then your most welcome.

Yes I am following the current Google convention.
Though it has released some great products yesterday. They are more focusing on Artificial intelligence. They have to converge VUI with AI, then it will give a blast.

In my discussions elsewhere, I've noticed a lot of disagreement regarding AI. A question that comes up is, "Is AI hype?" Unfortunately, when this question is asked, the one asking, as far as I can tell, may mean one of three things which can lead to lots of confusion. I'll list them out now for clarity. 1. Can AI do everything a human can do and how close are we to that? 2. Are corporations and governments using the promise of AI to gain more power for themselves? 3. Are AI and transhumans...
Thread 'ChatGPT Examples, Good and Bad'
I've been experimenting with ChatGPT. Some results are good, some very very bad. I think examples can help expose the properties of this AI. Maybe you can post some of your favorite examples and tell us what they reveal about the properties of this AI. (I had problems with copy/paste of text and formatting, so I'm posting my examples as screen shots. That is a promising start. But then I provided values V=1, R1=1, R2=2, R3=3 and asked for the value of I. At first, it said...
