SUMMARY

The discussion centers on the behavior of dogs chasing their own tails and lifting a leg while lying on their backs. Participants humorously speculate on the reasons behind these actions, suggesting that dogs may be smarter than humans and even hinting at whimsical theories like time travel. Observations include that some dogs appear to chase their tails for entertainment rather than instinct, and the behavior may be linked to their physical anatomy and cooling mechanisms. Overall, the conversation blends humor with light-hearted speculation about canine behavior.

Why do dogs chase there own tails, and lift one leg when laying on there back ?

Some one use to have a quote on here that said, "If you chase your tail fast enough, you will alter time in such a manner as to go back to the origins of life."
I suspect its a time machine. Dogs are so much smarter then us.

Can't remember who said this:
Ever seen yer dog chase his tail in a circle?
Why, if he ever caught it, that'd be a mircle!
But don't let folks think he's a stupid pup,
Jes' tell 'em he's a "watch-dog" windin' up.

The one dog that I have actually seen chase his tail does it with embarassment. We ask him to chase his tail and he'll do it after much coaxing. It seems as if he thinks it is silly but does it to entertain us. He will catch it after a few minutes. Then he forgets about it and would prefer to play fetch.

Why do dogs chase there own tails,
Why do men have nipples, who knows.
and lift one leg when laying on there back ?
Because they're physically incapable of doing it any other way?

Why do dogs chase there own tails, ?
Because they don:t have hands with fingers like humans...
and lift one leg when laying on there back
Because their body sweats after running around so much and doing so to cool themselves down a bit

I bet dogs themselfs wonder what to do with leg. I'm sure it has more to do with the hip design. My dog sleeps flat on her back 4 paws up.
