AI Thread Summary
LaTeX text appearing white on a black background can create readability issues for users. The problem may be related to the browser and operating system being used, as different setups yield varying results. Users have reported that upgrading from Internet Explorer 6 to a more recent version, like IE 8, resolves the issue. Testing with different browsers, such as Firefox and Chrome, shows that LaTeX renders correctly in those environments. Ensuring an updated browser can significantly improve the readability of LaTeX-generated content.

Why am I seeing Latex coming out white on a black background?

I find it impossible to read.

Uhh... I just changed the LaTeX generation backend to make the images look better. What browser and operating system are you using? The images look fine in IE7 and FF3 and Chrome.

Looks fine to me. Windows Vista and IE7.

Okay, I didn't realize it but I was still using Internet Explorer 6! I have downloaded IE 8 and don't have a problem any more. Thanks.
