AI Thread Summary
An upcoming exhibit in Baltimore will showcase significant works related to Archimedes, featuring some of the only known evidence of his contributions. This project, which took a decade to complete, is highly anticipated. The exhibit is linked to the Archimedes Palimpsest, a fascinating historical document that has garnered interest, with expectations for future media coverage, including a potential History Channel program. The discussion briefly veers off-topic with a mention of Mayan predictions and tongue twisters, but the primary focus remains on the importance of the Archimedes exhibit.

In a few weeks in Baltimore if you are in the area. Should be a very interesting exhibit. Some of the pages are the only known evidence of some of his work. The project took 10 years to complete. Can't wait.

Peru was still suffering the ills of a recent civil war and I knew it was dicey, but the money was too good to pass up. It was a long trip to Lima; about 14 hours of airtime...
