No you are right, you didn't misunderstand it, I remember now that it would be shield by steel/ferric materials. Glad to see it is an elementary question... At the time I posted I wasn't totally sure if iron shields as in dissipates/absorbs the magnetic field energy, or if it simply alters the...- Irl495
