AI Thread Summary
For users seeking a free PostScript viewer for Windows XP, Ghostview and GSview are recommended options. Ghostview serves as a graphical interface, while Ghostscript functions as the underlying PostScript engine. While Windows XP is not officially listed as a supported operating system for these tools, some users report successful installations. GSview can also handle PDF files, expanding its utility. An alternative mentioned is the Rampant Logic Postscript Viewer, which may also be suitable for Windows XP users. For downloads, users can visit the Ghostscript website for the necessary files.

"ghostview", "gv", and "gsview" are different postscript viewers:

You want GSview, available at the link given by mgb_phys. You need Ghostscript to use GSview, as stated on that page.

http://pages.cs.wisc.edu/~ghost/doc/AFPL/get853.htm
points to the GSview and the Ghostscript files you need for Windows.

(By the way, GSview can also read .pdf files.)
