AI Thread Summary
Stewing a mixture of banana, crystal sugar, and water for two hours is suggested as a home remedy for cough relief. However, there is no experimental scientific proof confirming the effectiveness or safety of this method. Coughing is a symptom that can arise from various causes, and while soothing remedies may provide temporary relief, they do not address the underlying issue. Simple solutions, such as sipping water, can also alleviate the urge to cough.

I get to know from some website that stewing a mixture of banana, crystal sugar(not a candy!)and some water can for two hours can yield a soup that cure cough if consume together with the banana stewed.

Is there an experimental scientific proof that this method of curing cough leave no side effect and is effective?

A cough is just a symptom that can be caused by just about anything, so anything that soothes the symptom can "relieve" the symptom, at least temporarily. A sip of water can relieve the urge to cough.
