These chemical cues convey various messages, such as alarm signals, food sources, and reproductive status. The discussion seeks resources that provide detailed information, particularly tables outlining specific pheromones and their meanings. Additionally, there is curiosity about whether ants also communicate through sound waves or physical contact, alongside their chemical communication. Hey PF ppl,

I read on may places about Ants having a communication system among them that is 'professional'.

Can anyone help me reach some useful pages regarding the matter. I espceially looking for a table or so about the chemicals they send and what they mean. Ofcourse any other detailed info related in other directions is appreciated.

On a side note, do Ants communicate as well using sound waves or specific physical body touching? or just checmicals?
