hellp all..

i was doing a lab today and we use C6H3Cl3.
and i was told that it is dangerous and it can cause cancer.

why is that? what makes it so dangerous?

I want to test a humidity sensor with one or more saturated salt solutions. The table salt that I have on hand contains one of two anticaking agents, calcium silicate or sodium aluminosilicate.
