I know that this one can't be a. or c. which is true but, i think its either b. or d., does a catalyst change the mechanism of a chemical reaction ?
Which statement is not correct regarding the function of a catalyst?
a. A catalyst lowers the activation energy.
b. A catalyst changes...
I was wondering if you guys could help me out here. I would like to know what the rejuvenation catalyst for Petrobond (R) foundry sand is, if there is one at all. If you guys could get me the answer before the end of the day, I would appreciate it.
Shall it ever be possible (regarding chemistry rules) to make an alloy which acts like a catalyst in separation of hydrogen and oxygen in water (i.e. drasticaly reduces the amount of electricity needed to do hydrolysis)?
(PS: imagine someone grabs a piece of such material with bare hands...)...
For lab we used an Mn Catalyst for epoxidation of trans-B-methyl styrene. One of the problems is that we have to figure out which enantiomer of the trans-B-methylstyrene epoxide is formed by looking at the H NMR. I have never looked at an NMR before to try to figure out which enantiomers were...
Hi I've been reading a lot about esters and have the general idea but I am not sure about exact amounts of acid catalyst needed.
say the following experiment was tro be carried out to form an ester
R-C=O(O-R2)
*X moles of R-C=O(OH)
*10X moles of R2-C-OH
*How much H2SO4 would be needed?
i...
1st:( I'm sorry its a bit long)
1.0g of Zn in reacted with 50 cm3 of 1.0 mole/dm3 of H2SO4 to check the effect of some chemicals or elements on the reaction. 4 exp. are carried out in each exp. the time to collect 50cm3 of hydrogen was recorded. 1st exp. was done with nothing added to reaction...
