I made this 3D model of the RBMK-1000 nuclear reactor central hall about 3 years ago. But I did not model the fuel handling machine.

Recently I decided to complete it by modeling the fuel handling machine.

I used 3ds Max and Blender for modeling, and Substance Painter for texturing.The fuel handling machine is a large piece of equipment that is used to move the nuclear fuel from the storage pool to the reactor core. It consists of several parts: the fuel hoist, the fuel guide tube, the fuel transfer carts, and the control systems. The fuel hoist lifts and lowers the fuel rods into the guide tube, while the fuel carts transport them to the reactor core. The control system is responsible for controlling these processes.The model took me around two weeks to complete, including modeling, texturing, and rendering. I'm quite pleased with the result and am looking forward to continuing to improve my 3D modeling skills.
