AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers on a question regarding the calculation of sludge age in an activated sludge system. The user believes the sludge age may be incorrectly calculated and seeks clarification on the formula for suspended solids in effluent. They propose that the suspended solids should equal the difference between the flow rates, specifically 8100 m3/s minus 150 m3/s, resulting in 7950. There is uncertainty about whether the 8100 m3/s refers to the flow of effluent. The user is looking for assistance to confirm their calculations and understanding.

The Attempt at a Solution

Based on the formula given , The suspended solid in effulent should be = (Q-Qw) , which is 8100-150= 7950 , am i right ? Correct me if i am wrong ...

Or the 8100 m3/s given is the flow of effluent ?
