According to Greenspan, this may be the last that we ever see or hear of him.

He seems to think Bill Clinton was very sharp, which isn't surprising.
ALAN GREENSPAN: Yes, my dealings with him on every issue, he understood all the technical aspects of various problems, and he got it. In other words, you could actually have a fairly abstract, complex discussion with him, and he would find mistakes in your logic, which is, in my case, very unusual...

I believe it was the summer of 2001 that I made a trip to Peru for my work. I was a private contractor doing automation engineering and programming for various companies, including Frito Lay. Frito had purchased a snack food plant near Lima, Peru, and sent me down to oversee the upgrades to the systems and the startup.
