AI Thread Summary
Bose-Einstein Condensates (BECs) form under extremely low temperatures, leading to unique quantum phenomena. The discussion raises the question of what occurs in the universe when conditions allow for the formation of a condensate. It also explores the existence of natural BECs in the wild, drawing parallels to masers and lasers found in nature. The inquiry suggests a curiosity about the implications of BECs beyond controlled laboratory environments. Understanding natural BECs could provide insights into quantum mechanics and the behavior of matter in the universe.

Found this nifty intro the the subject. Justplug Bose-Einstein Condensates into a seaarch engine for lots more.

What happens when the universe is cool enough to form a condensate?

A similar though occurred to me.

Not about the whole Universe, but parts of it. Masers and lasers exist in Nature, "the wild" so to speak. Are there natural BECs?
