Calculation of wind stiffness

  1. Jul 25, 2012 #1
    Hey guys

I am looking for the solution to replace the spring in MDOF model with wind stiffness or air stiffness if to build a MDOF model of wind.

What I have now is only a wind speed data matrix.

Anyone can provide some equations of calculating wind stiffness and some clues maybe.

    Thanks a lot.

The drag on an object is generally taken to be proportional to the square of the wind speed. But the shape of the object greatly affects the coefficient, and more complex behaviour occurs at the boundary between laminar and turbulent flow.
