Calculus of variations, book recommendations.

I need a good calculus of variations book. I would like something that is clear but not devoid of mathematical rigour.

I think that one very simple book is Reddy's book. It has very nice chapter about this topic. the title I do not remember well, but I think it was referring to energetic methods for structures.
