Homework Statement
An impatient motorist considers speeding as he travels between two cities. If the trip normally takes
2.80h at an average speed of 100km/h, how much time will be saved if he exceeds the speed limit by
10.0km/h?
Relevant Equations
During a short interval of time the velocity, v, in m/s of an automobile is given by


v  at2

where the

time t is in seconds. Determine the units of a and b.

I'm confused too. Is what you have under "relevant equations" another problem? If so, you need to post it separately. Also you need to show some effort before you can receive help. Please read the forum rules on homework help.

Thread 'Collision of a bullet on a rod-string system: query'
In this question, I have a question. I am NOT trying to solve it, but it is just a conceptual question. Consider the point on the rod, which connects the string and the rod. My question: just before and after the collision, is ANGULAR momentum CONSERVED about this point? Lets call the point which connects the string and rod as P. Why am I asking this? : it is clear from the scenario that the point of concern, which connects the string and the rod, moves in a circular path due to the string...
