Unless you're using those initials for something other than what I'm used to, there is absolutely no need for a DVR. All that is required is a camera and a monitor, although some sort of storage medium is desirable in security applications.
I am a long distance truck driver, but I recently completed a plumbing program with Stratford Career Institute.
