AI Thread Summary
The discussion focuses on calculating the cell potentials for various concentrations of zinc sulfate (ZnSO4) and copper sulfate (CuSO4) solutions. The user consistently arrives at a cell potential of +1.10V for all scenarios, prompting requests for clarification on their calculations. Participants emphasize the importance of showing detailed work to identify potential errors in the calculations. Additionally, there is a reminder to utilize the Homework & Coursework section for such inquiries in the future, indicating a preference for organized discussion topics within the forum.

What are the cell potentials of the following?
1) ZnSO4 (1M) & CuSO4 (1M)
2) ZnSO4 (1mM) & CuSO4 (1mM)
3) ZnSO4 (0.1M) & CuSO4 (1M)

I tried using the nearst equation and I keep getting that they are all the same value of +1.10V

I want to test a humidity sensor with one or more saturated salt solutions. The table salt that I have on hand contains one of two anticaking agents, calcium silicate or sodium aluminosilicate. Will the presence of either of these additives (or iodine for that matter) significantly affect the equilibrium humidity? I searched and all the how-to-do-it guides did not address this question. One research paper I found reported that at 1.5% w/w calcium silicate increased the deliquescent point by...
