Where's Kia, if not at home with daddy wolram?
wolram said:Well, if you follow the river itch ,to where it bends 90 degrees, cross the
jaggy plank, then follow the footpath for three miles, then follow the river
leam for 4 miles in a southerly direction, you will se Kias place.
brewnog said:Why do I bother?!

maybe you can forgive a holiday from the factual world.
Uh oh, have we sucked Zz into the nether world of hapiness and bliss that is GD?ZapperZ said:Really... Considering all the superficialness that I've indulged myself with my Disney addictions (obsession?), I'd say that I've taken an almost permanent vacation from the "factual world". But don't tell my boss that! :)

Wot? Mercury has climbed into the 20s has it? Dastardly inconsiderate of it, wouldn't you say old boy? We certainly didn't tolerate any of *that* sort of nonsense when I was a young lass!I'm loving these thunderstorms at the moment. Can't be doing with all that hot hot heat.
20's is hot? Geez, I've been outside working half the day (the hot half of course ) and I'm sitting here as the sun is near to setting looking at the thermometer that's reading 30 (yes, that's C)...that looks to be about 84 F, and it's just cool enough to relax out on the deck comfortably. Of course I might have preferred if this was the temperature in the midday sun rather than at sunset. Oops, got to go let a lightning bug back out, it seems to have wound up on the wrong side of the screen.Nereid said:Wot? Mercury has climbed into the 20s has it? But my dear Moonbeam, our fellow PFers are in *England*, remember? Warwickshire, and delightfully pleasant other shires! It's the place where the horses sweat, the men perspire, and the women glow. And the reason the do that is because 'hot', in BBC English, means 'above 20'Moonbear said:20's is hot? So when brewnog says 'hot hot heat', he probably means ~22 C

Mind if I drop in for a spot of tea? I'll remember to wear my white gloves with buttons.

"Be Good No More Naughty Chit Chat" is a phrase often used to encourage people to refrain from engaging in inappropriate or offensive conversations.
Being good and avoiding naughty chit chat is important because it promotes respectful and positive communication, which can lead to better relationships and a more harmonious society.
Examples of naughty chit chat can include gossiping, making inappropriate jokes, using offensive language, or discussing sensitive topics in a disrespectful manner.
One way to stop ourselves from engaging in naughty chit chat is to think before we speak and consider the impact our words may have on others. It can also be helpful to redirect the conversation to more positive and respectful topics.
Yes, naughty chit chat can have negative consequences such as hurting others' feelings, damaging relationships, and creating a negative reputation for ourselves. It can also contribute to a toxic and unhealthy environment in social or professional settings.
