Clarifying Power = +EPE/Time & Negative Current with Negative Charge

Click For Summary
The discussion centers on the relationship between power, electric potential energy (EPE), and current in electrical systems. It clarifies that power can be expressed as positive EPE over time, despite the convention that work done can be negative when energy is lost. The sign of work is arbitrary and depends on the chosen convention, with positive work associated with energy gain and negative work with energy loss. The conversation also addresses how current is defined, noting that conventional current flows from positive to negative, while actual electron flow is in the opposite direction. Understanding these concepts requires consistent application of definitions and recognizing the distinction between electric potential and potential energy.

Well the good news is that we are agreeing - and I agree with your post on the 'other thread' too. It's as Doc Al wrote. 'Do not confuse Potential with Potential Energy".
