Compatibility of Orion Solar Filter for Celestron 60 AZ Model

AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers on the compatibility of an Orion Solar Filter designed for the Observer 60 Altaz & EQ model with the Celestron 60 AZ Model telescope. The original poster is uncertain if the filter will fit since the compatibility guide only lists Orion models. Despite some suggestions that it should fit due to both telescopes having a 60mm aperture, there is a recommendation to confirm with Orion directly for precise measurements. The consensus leans towards the likelihood of compatibility, but verification is advised to avoid issues upon delivery. Ultimately, contacting Orion for clarification is the best course of action.

I want to get this solar filter for my telescope. It's the Solar Filter for Observer 60 Altaz & EQ model. It was made for the Observer, but I was wondering if it would work on my Celestron 60 AZ Model (refractor)?

The guide at the bottom says what model it fits, and obviously, only Orions are listed. So I just wanted to double-check as I don't want to order the filter and have it shipped to me, then find out it doesn't fit.

I've been told it should fit perfectly though.

If Orion told you it will fit, then it will fit.

Sorry, I meant that the guide said it would fit Orion's 60mm AZ model. It says nothing about the Celestron models.

I figured since both Apertures were 60mm that it would work. A friend also says it'll work, but I wanted to double-check.

It'll probably work. If you're not entirely sure, call Orion and ask. If they don't know, ask them for the measurements of the filter, and measure your own telescope's objective to make sure.

TL;DR Summary: In 3 years, the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) telescope (or rather, a system of telescopes) should be put into operation. In case of failure to detect alien signals, it will further expand the radius of the so-called silence (or rather, radio silence) of the Universe. Is there any sense in this or is blissful ignorance better? In 3 years, the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) telescope (or rather, a system of telescopes) should be put into operation.
