AI Thread Summary
To disable ACPI (Advanced Configuration and Power Interface) on a Windows XP Professional desktop computer, access the BIOS settings during system startup. Look for an option related to power management or ACPI settings and disable it. After making changes, save the settings and exit the BIOS. If ACPI is disabled, the operating system will not utilize its power management features, which may affect sleep and power-saving modes. If issues arise, consider consulting the motherboard's manual for specific instructions related to ACPI settings.

How do I disable ACPI on my comp? I'm using XP pro, desktop computer. I did it a few months ago, but I had to reinstall my OS and need to do it again and can't for the life of me remember how I did it.

Thanks,

(I had problems with copy/paste of text and formatting, so I'm posting my examples as screen shots. That is a promising start. But then I provided values V=1, R1=1, R2=2, R3=3 and asked for the value of I. At first, it said...
