Find Reliable High Speed Internet Providers Near You - Get Connected Now!

AI Thread Summary
High-speed internet options are limited in small towns, with many residents struggling to find affordable service providers. Satellite internet is available, but major providers like Verizon and Comcast may not offer high-speed connections in certain areas. Alternatives to dial-up are sought, but options are scarce. One potential solution is to share a wireless connection with a nearby friend, although caution is advised regarding online security when using shared networks.

I really want to get high speed internet. The problem is that I can't find any company that offers it where I live for a reasonable price. I can get satellite internet as can everyone else, but Verizon (my phone provider), and Comcast don't offer their high speed at my house. Does anyone have suggestions for non-dial-up service providers? I don't even care if it's fast, as long as it isn't dial-up.

I hate to break it to you but you're probably out of luck, especially if you live in a small town like I do. Do you have a friend close to you with a wireless router? If you did, maybe you could share a connection though if you do any online transactions, make sure you could trust him first because it's possible to sniff the traffic.

I found a similar documentary in English called The Human Cost of AI: Data workers in the Global South. There is also an interview with Milagros Miceli (appearing in both documentaries) on Youtube: I also found a powerpoint presentation by the economist Uma Rani (appearing in the French documentary), AI...
Thread 'Urgent: Physically repair - or bypass - power button on Asus laptop'
Asus Vivobook S14 flip. The power button is wrecked. Unable to turn it on AT ALL. We can get into how and why it got wrecked later, but suffice to say a kitchen knife was involved: These buttons do want to NOT come off, not like other lappies, where they can snap in and out. And they sure don't go back on. So, in the absence of a longer-term solution that might involve a replacement, is there any way I can activate the power button, like with a paperclip or wire or something? It looks...
