AI Thread Summary
For those interested in specializing in Nanotechnology, several institutes in India and the US offer relevant programs. In India, while there are limited MSc-level degrees in Nanotechnology, PhD programs are available, notably at IIT-Guwahati. Prospective students should consider their specific interests within the vast field of Nanotechnology, such as metal gate high-k materials, carbon nanotubes, or reliability studies. In the US, IMEC is highlighted as a research center where students can explore various PhD topics in Nanotechnology. Engaging with current research and potential supervisors is recommended for tailored guidance.

I want to do a specialisation in Nanotechnology, so could you please tell me about some good institutes in India and US.

Physics news on Phys.org
I have a good frien from INDIA (electrical engineer) who is doing his phd on MOSFET device structures (MugFet's) here at IMEC [1]. It really depends on what exactly you want to do. I suggest you check out the possible phd topics here at IMEC. For example are you into metal gate high k-stuff, carbon nanotubes and CNT-transistors, reliability, ?

Feel free to PM-me if you want to know more.

regards
marlon

I don't think there is any institute in India offering a degree(MSc-level) in nanotech but there are few offering a PhD programme in nanotechnology(again depends on your area of interest because Nanotechnology is a very vast field  ).
IIT-Guwahati has a PhD programme I believe. Check out this link.

Hey, I am Andreas from Germany. I am currently 35 years old and I want to relearn math and physics. This is not one of these regular questions when it comes to this matter. So... I am very realistic about it. I know that there are severe contraints when it comes to selfstudy compared to a regular school and/or university (structure, peers, teachers, learning groups, tests, access to papers and so on) . I will never get a job in this field and I will never be taken serious by "real"...
Yesterday, 9/5/2025, when I was surfing, I found an article The Schwarzschild solution contains three problems, which can be easily solved - Journal of King Saud University - Science ABUNDANCE ESTIMATION IN AN ARID ENVIRONMENT https://jksus.org/the-schwarzschild-solution-contains-three-problems-which-can-be-easily-solved/ that has the derivation of a line element as a corrected version of the Schwarzschild solution to Einstein’s field equation.
