How Do I Get Started with Gnuplot on Windows XP?

AI Thread Summary
To use Gnuplot on Windows XP, ensure you have the correct version by downloading the gp400win32.zip file from the provided link, as the gnuplot-4.0.0.tar file is likely intended for Linux. After downloading and unpacking the zip file, locate the bin directory, which contains the necessary executables. Users can then start Gnuplot and type 'help' for guidance on using the software.

Hi All,
I'm totally, competely and absolutely lost on how to use Gnuplot! I use Windows XP and I downloaded the zipped flie gnuplot-4.0.0.tar and unzipped it. (So, is the first step right? ) Now what do I next? I apologise for this apparently simple question, but I grew up in the age of the "Evil Empire":biggrin: and am no computer wiz (I did learn a little programming in high-school, though). Where is the file in which I type 'help' and stuff?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Navneeth

Go here,
http://www.duke.edu/~hpgavin/gnuplot.html
There is a hyperlink on "windows" on this page. Clicking on this hyperlink will let you download the gp400win32.zip
Once you dload and unpack it, you will find a bin directory with executables inside.

This week, I saw a documentary done by the French called Les sacrifiés de l'IA, which was presented by a Canadian show Enquête. If you understand French I recommend it. Very eye-opening. I found a similar documentary in English called The Human Cost of AI: Data workers in the Global South. There is also an interview with Milagros Miceli (appearing in both documentaries) on Youtube: I also found a powerpoint presentation by the economist Uma Rani (appearing in the French documentary), AI...
Thread 'Urgent: Physically repair - or bypass - power button on Asus laptop'
Asus Vivobook S14 flip. The power button is wrecked. Unable to turn it on AT ALL. We can get into how and why it got wrecked later, but suffice to say a kitchen knife was involved: These buttons do want to NOT come off, not like other lappies, where they can snap in and out. And they sure don't go back on. So, in the absence of a longer-term solution that might involve a replacement, is there any way I can activate the power button, like with a paperclip or wire or something? It looks...
