Good Algebra 2 and Trigonometry Study Method?

AI Thread Summary
Learning Algebra 2 and Trigonometry simultaneously can be effective, especially for those with a strong foundation in Algebra 1. This approach can enhance engagement and understanding, as both subjects complement each other. However, for individuals with only a moderate grasp of Algebra 1, it is advisable to first complete Algebra 2 before moving on to Trigonometry. A solid understanding of Algebra 2 is crucial, as it provides essential coordinate geometry knowledge that is foundational for mastering Trigonometry.

I want to learn algebra 2 and trigonometry and was going to try to learn algebra 2 first then learn trigonometry after that. However after thinking I thought it would be more engaging to learn both at the same time. So my question is, should I learn algebra 2 first, then trigonometry, or should/could I learn them at the same time?

You can easily learn them at the same time if you're motivated enough.

If you know you're strong in Algebra 1 then you could possibly learn both Algebra 2 and Trigonometry in about the same term if not at the same time. If you are not extremely strong but just good with Algebra 1, then the normal order of courses into first study Algebra 2, and then begin Trigonometry. You would be more secure trying to understand Algebra 2 thoroughly before studying Trigonometry, since your coordinate geometry knowledge will be better, which much about Trigonometry depends.

Hey, I am Andreas from Germany. I am currently 35 years old and I want to relearn math and physics. This is not one of these regular questions when it comes to this matter. So... I am very realistic about it. I know that there are severe contraints when it comes to selfstudy compared to a regular school and/or university (structure, peers, teachers, learning groups, tests, access to papers and so on) . I will never get a job in this field and I will never be taken serious by "real"...
