AI Thread Summary
Finland celebrates its first victory in the Eurovision Song Contest, thanks to the band Lordi. The performance has sparked mixed feelings, with some expressing enjoyment at the unique blend of monster-themed visuals and heavy music, contrasting sharply with typical entries that often lean towards pop and ballads. There's a sense of irony in the celebration, as some participants admit to disliking Eurovision but enjoy the festivities that follow, especially when under the influence. The anticipation for next year's contest is tinged with skepticism, fearing a return to more conventional and less exciting performances. The discussion highlights a blend of excitement, critique, and a humorous take on the Eurovision experience.

... we rule  ! Send average appearing Finns to compete and they deliver. Since Finland apparently can't dodge arranging the contest next year probably going to suffer more of the "silicon - filled - performances & artists" & related tripe :approve: .
