Hello from an ancient engineer

Hello all,
I am an engineer, curious about physics, math and philosophy. Ancient (over 40) but the mind still functions somewhat. I don't recall how I stumbled upon these fora but based on a preliminary perusal, they appear to not be a total waste of time. (That's high praise from a crustyAsian like me.)
