AI Thread Summary
Mode of vibration refers to the specific patterns in which a system oscillates at certain frequencies. The 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th modes of vibration at frequencies like 3Hz, 15Hz, 20Hz, and 40Hz indicate the system's response characteristics and how it behaves under different excitation frequencies. The order of vibration is defined by the relationship between the excitation frequency and the system's natural frequency; for example, vibrating at 200Hz when excited at 100Hz represents a 2nd order vibration. Understanding these concepts is crucial for analyzing dynamic systems and ensuring stability. Clarification on these topics can enhance comprehension of vibrational analysis in engineering contexts.

Hello Guys,

It would be really great if anyone can explain me what does mode of vibration exactly mean??

What does 1st,2nd ,3rd and 4th mode of vibration at 3Hz, 15Hz ,20 Hz and 40 Hz mean to the system.?

Please check my knowledge on order of vibration too..

Order of vibration:-If a system is vibrating at 200Hz when it is excited by a frequency of 100Hz then it is said to be 2nd order of vibration..Please correct me if I am wrong..

Thank you!

I think it's easist first to watch a short vidio clip I find these videos very relaxing to watch .. I got to thinking is this being done in the most efficient way? The sand has to be suspended in the water to move it to the outlet ... The faster the water , the more turbulance and the sand stays suspended, so it seems to me the rule of thumb is the hose be aimed towards the outlet at all times .. Many times the workers hit the sand directly which will greatly reduce the water...
