I'm a former US Navy trained nuclear power plant operator and nuclear shipyard refueling supervisor. I'm currently a commercial biomass power plant manager and consultant. I never completed my degree but have innovated many ideas through self study. My approach has always been from the practical side up and not from the academic side down. Right now I'm doing a series of experiments with the alpha particle from Americium 241. My goal is to convert the spin energy from the particle to electricity following the trail of Dr. Paul Brown and William Burke of the 1970's and 50's. I've been getting some good results using P/N junction material but need to know the resonance oscillation of the alpha particle coming from AM 241. Does anyone know what that frequency is? Thanks.

Alpha particles have no spin.

Hello Roy,:welcome:

I hope you'll have fun and interesting reads on our forum.

This subforum here is meant as a possibility for new members to say something about themselves and address the community. For technical questions please use the other subforums (and in case you need help to solve a specific problem or exercise, our homework forum).
In this case you could post your question in https://www.physicsforums.com/forums/high-energy-nuclear-particle-physics.65/
You'll find better answers there as not everybody is reading everything and especially not the New Member forum.

Hello fellow Physics enthusiasts, I am an aeronautical engineering graduate (Bachelor's) who is interested in Physics and Mathematics, and I have been re-learning all the basics. I wanted to join a science forum, especially one dedicated to Physics and maths, to apply these subjects to my engineering studies. I hope to learn a lot through this forum. Thank you for your warm welcome.
