You have a valid point. And the (in my opinion) obscure definitions cause some trouble when discussing it. Right now as far as I know human intelligence is the highest known, or at least recognized. A number of years ago I troubleshot test equipment in a factory setting. Part of my job was to create flow charts to indicate what part of a circuit board the calibrator was to inspect based on a particular failure. Wrong part here? Wrong part there? Etc. What this amounts to is taking my intelligence and experience and condensing it down to a series of if-thens. The longer we manufactured a certain product the more detailed the flow charts became. After a certain time of course, there was a net loss in productivity by further detailing the flow charts. There was never a time when a troubleshooter such as myself was not required.
