SUMMARY

This discussion focuses on locating academic journals and publications regarding the discovery of a star devoured by a black hole, specifically referencing the event ASASSN-14li. Participants highlight the importance of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) paper and suggest accessing the free reprint available on arXiv at Cornell University Library, specifically the paper titled "A radio jet from the optical and x-ray bright stellar tidal disruption flare ASASSN-14li" (arXiv 1511.08803v2). This information is crucial for researchers seeking detailed insights into this astronomical phenomenon.

PREREQUISITES
  • Familiarity with astronomical phenomena, specifically tidal disruption events.
  • Understanding of academic publication sources, including arXiv and AAAS.
  • Knowledge of how to access and interpret scientific papers.
  • Basic research skills for locating journals and publications in astrophysics.
NEXT STEPS
  • Research the event ASASSN-14li and its significance in astrophysics.
  • Learn how to navigate arXiv for accessing scientific papers.
  • Explore membership options and benefits of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).
  • Investigate other tidal disruption events and their implications in modern astronomy.
USEFUL FOR

Researchers, astrophysicists, and students interested in black hole phenomena and tidal disruption events will benefit from this discussion.

I'm looking for journals/publications for last year's discovery of a star devoured by a black hole https://hub.jhu.edu/2015/11/26/black-hole-eats-a-star/

But I don't know where to look, the incident/object is not given a specific name in the article, and I need more detailed information about it for a research

The article you posted includes a link to the source American Association for the Advancement of Science paper. If you are not a member of the AAAS then you can obtain a free reprint from arXiv at Cornell University Library:
