AI Thread Summary
When celebrating a birthday, individuals have the flexibility to choose whether to observe it according to their original time zone or the time zone they are currently in. This decision is based on personal preference rather than any strict rules. Additionally, some people opt to celebrate their birthday on the weekend following the actual date, with the belief that celebrating in advance may bring bad luck. Ultimately, the timing of birthday celebrations is subjective and can vary widely among individuals.

If you are born in central time zone and you travel back to mountain time zone, do you celebrate your birthday according to central time or mountain time?

Up to you. That's a matter of personal preference, not physics.

How old you are can be calculated from UTC.

If and when you celebrate your birthday is entirely up to you.

I always celebrate on weekend after my birthday (celebrating in advance can bring bad luck :p )

Every day we learn new things. Sometimes it's just a small fact or realization. No matter how trivial or random, let's start recording our daily lessons. Please start off with "Today I learned". Keep commentary to a minimum and just LIKE posts. I'll start! Today I learned that you clean up a white hat by spraying some cleaner with bleach on it (rinse before putting it back on your head!)
