I need to interview and Engineer

AI Thread Summary
Students are seeking engineers for interviews related to their projects, specifically in manufacturing, biomedical, electronics, and nuclear engineering. The interviews are expected to last 20-30 minutes and consist of around 20 questions, conducted via telephone or email. Participants are encouraged to reach out through private messages (PM) for coordination. However, the forum has restrictions on interview threads due to past privacy concerns. As a result, potential participants may need to explore alternative platforms or methods for arranging these interviews.

Hello,

I have students that are doing a project where they need to interview an engineer in their chosen/assigned area.

The interview should take about 20-30 minutes and is about 20 questions long. It can be done through a telephone interview or via e-mail?

If you would have time to participate please contact me by PM.

I need engineers in the following areas:

I'd prefer to do it by PM. I'm an EE if you have a student who wants to send me questions via PM.

Sorry, we no longer allow interview threads here at the PF. There were too many privacy issues.

Hi all, I have a question. So from the derivation of the Isentropic process relationship PV^gamma = constant, there is a step dW = PdV, which can only be said for quasi-equilibrium (or reversible) processes. As such I believe PV^gamma = constant (and the family of equations) should not be applicable to just adiabatic processes? Ie, it should be applicable only for adiabatic + reversible = isentropic processes? However, I've seen couple of online notes/books, and...
I have an engine that uses a dry sump oiling system. The oil collection pan has three AN fittings to use for scavenging. Two of the fittings are approximately on the same level, the third is about 1/2 to 3/4 inch higher than the other two. The system ran for years with no problem using a three stage pump (one pressure and two scavenge stages). The two scavenge stages were connected at times to any two of the three AN fittings on the tank. Recently I tried an upgrade to a four stage pump...
