Internships in physics for summer?

AI Thread Summary
A student from Kiev Polytechnic Institute is seeking internship or temporary job opportunities in the U.S. related to physics during the Work and Travel Cultural Exchange Program. The program typically offers customer service positions, but the student prefers roles that utilize their background in physics, math, and programming. Responses indicate that it may be challenging to find such positions at this late stage in the summer job employment period, as many opportunities had application deadlines in March and April, particularly for mathematics and physics research programs.

Hello!

I'm a student from Kiev Polytechnic Institute, Ukraine. This summer I'm coming to the US for Work and Travel Cultural Exchange Program. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to find any kind of an internship or a temporary job related to physics, if so where can I apply for such a positions or where should I write to ask for such a position.
The program propoese jobs in customers services, but I have strong background in physics/math/programming, so I'd like to know if I have any opportunities to not to get employed in a restaurant or whateva.

Thank you for your attention.

Anton.

I don't know if there are any of these types of positions available now. it's pretty late into the summer job employment period. i know a lot of the positions i applied for had deadlines in march and april, but that was for mathematics, so maybe it's different for physics.

good luck

Same applies for physics research programs. It's too late.

Hey, I am Andreas from Germany. I am currently 35 years old and I want to relearn math and physics. This is not one of these regular questions when it comes to this matter. So... I am very realistic about it. I know that there are severe contraints when it comes to selfstudy compared to a regular school and/or university (structure, peers, teachers, learning groups, tests, access to papers and so on) . I will never get a job in this field and I will never be taken serious by "real"...
