Says I have "insufficient privileges to reply".

But I can reply to other threads.

Do you see the "Not open for further replies." message? Right at the top pf the thread?

If it's concerning the Question about CERN thread, that's been locked. It means that the thread has been locked by a Mentor or Administrator.
 
Ah right, thanks for the replies.
 
Looks like it is back open. Likely was closed for some cleaning.
