This guy claims he's found out how to fuse Hydrogen to form Helium. He's clearly a crackpot, right?

Yes, and his website certainly looks like the writings of a crackpot (i.e. sending letters to X and Y university, and being ignored.. blah blah blah). If he has really done what he says, then he should write a paper and submit it to a journal. Since it is not a published, peer-reviewed theory, then we cannot talk about it here at PF, even in the S&D forum.
