AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers on the accuracy of a statement regarding Zener diodes, referencing a snapshot from an electronics book. Participants agree that the explanation aligns with common understanding. It is noted that temperature sensitivity for Zener and avalanche diodes has opposite signs, particularly around the 6V region where sensitivity is minimized. The conversation emphasizes the importance of understanding these characteristics in practical applications. Overall, the consensus supports the accuracy of the statement about Zener diodes.

I think that's how it's usually explained. Also, the temperature sensitivity has opposite signs for avalanche cf. zener, and around that 6v region the temperature sensitivity (mV/°C) is a minimum.
